About Dr. Paulo Graziano

Dr. Paulo Graziano is a nationally recognized expert in ADHD research and intervention. A Licensed Psychologist and Professor of Psychology at the Center for Children and Families at Florida International University (FIU), Dr. Graziano is dedicated to improving the lives of children and families affected by ADHD and related conditions.

He earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2009 and completed two postdoctoral fellowships in Child/Pediatric Psychology and intervention research for disruptive behavior disorders.

As Director of the S.E.L.F.-Regulation Laboratory, Dr. Graziano combines developmental psychology and neuroscience to study self-regulation skills in children and develop effective treatments for ADHD. His work, supported by grants from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and Institute of Educational Sciences (IES), has resulted in over 100 scientific publications and 100+ presentations worldwide.

Dr. Graziano also leads the Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) Clinic and the Summer Treatment Program for Kindergarteners (STP-K) at FIU, specializing in young children with ADHD and disruptive behavior disorders. His recent research on callous-unemotional behaviors in young children with ADHD was accepted for publication in the Evidence-Based Practice in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Journal.
