Jennifer Gutierrez

Jennifer Gutierrez is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern working towards full licensure in the state of Florida. Jennifer specializes in working with the teenage and adult population in individual, family and couples counseling. She has experience working with concerns involving substance abuse, anxiety, self-esteem, life transitions, family conflict, student-athlete issues and more.

Prior to pursuing a career in mental health, Jennifer spent nearly ten years working in the Arts & Entertainment industry. She has experienced and been exposed to the complexities of juggling a professional and personal life in an environment where everything seems to be public. She also knows how isolating it can feel to straddle both worlds while attempting to stay true to oneself. Finding the balance can feel exhausting but she believes that through looking at your life with curiosity, respect, and non-judgment, you can find your footing.

As a therapist Jennifer works collaboratively with clients to illuminate aspects of self that have not been recognized. She works with clients to reclaim their life in a way where they honor who they once were and make space for who they want to become. From her lens, she believes you have the power to rewrite your narrative to one which feels more authentic to you. Your work together will illuminate the resources you have at your disposal and bring forth those strengths that may have been overlooked.

Jennifer's favorite quote is "Man alone measures time. Man alone chimes the hour. And, because of this, man alone suffers a paralyzing fear that no other creature endures. A fear of time running out." - Mitch Albom, The Time Keeper

When Jennifer is not in the office she can be found reading, running, at the beach or most importantly, spending time with family and her dog Zeus.
