Samantha Brazen, LMHC
Samantha Brazen is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida and a National Certified Counselor. She specializes in treating pregnant and postpartum women, as well as young adults who are experiencing major life transitions, anxiety, and depressive disorders. Samantha is warm and empathetic in her approach and creates a space where her clients feel empowered and comfortable. Her objective is to meet each individual where they are and implement an individualized path of treatment that facilitates emotional and behavioral growth.
Samantha utilizes a range of therapeutic modalities, commonly including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Mindfulness. In treatment with Samantha, you can expect to discover healthy coping strategies, uncover your personal strengths, and construct healthy realistic thinking patterns.
Samantha has experience in both private and public schools, residential treatment, and private practice. She has extensive experience providing mental health therapy to children, teens, and their parents. She is currently pursuing an advanced certification in perinatal mental health to become a PMH-C.
Growing up Samantha always knew she wanted to have a career in a helping field and to work closely with individuals. While studying Family and Child Science at Florida State University, she discovered her passion for the mental health field. She then subsequently obtained her master’s degree in Counseling and Psychology.
Personally, Samantha enjoys cooking, taking on DIY home improvement projects, and spending quality time with her family and friends. She has been residing in South Florida for the past few years with her husband, son, and sheepadoodle.
