Liz Sanchez-Solano is a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Liz is dedicated to providing specialized support for individuals, young adults, couples and those facing challenges such as divorce, grief and loss, life transitions, substance abuse, depression, anxiety and anger management. With a rich background in the mental health field since 2005 and practicing as a therapist since 2014, Liz brings a wealth of experience and empathy to her clients.

Her dedication is focused on helping individuals find balance and elevate their overall quality of life. Liz firmly believes in identifying areas of struggle and tailoring her approach by employing appropriate techniques and modalities best suited for each unique client. As a Latina, she possesses a profound understanding of cultural issues and empathizes with the struggles faced by first-generation children, enhancing her ability to support her clients effectively.

Liz describes herself as compassionate and assertive in her approach, firmly believing that with guidance and support, individuals can manifest the changes they aspire to see in their lives. She adopts a down-to-earth demeanor and incorporates humor when appropriate, creating a comfortable and supportive environment for her clients.

Having received comprehensive training in a diverse range of treatment interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Person-Centered Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, Liz is well-equipped to tailor her approach to suit each client's unique needs.

Outside of her practice, Liz cherishes spending quality time with her family and friends, utilizing technology to connect with her loved ones in New York through frequent video calls. She enjoys unwinding by watching TV, reading, and immersing herself in music. Liz values self-care and allocates time for herself, embracing activities like taking long hot showers or savoring a cup of coffee.
