Lindsay Carpenter

Lindsay Carpenter, Registered Clinical Social Work Intern and child and teen therapist at Family Therapy Broward

Lindsay Carpenter is a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern known for her warm, compassionate, and encouraging presence. She is passionate about helping children, teens, and individuals navigate life's challenges with confidence, resilience, and self-compassion. Lindsay believes therapy should be a place where clients feel safe to be themselves, knowing they will be met with empathy, understanding, and genuine support every step of the way.

Whether a child is struggling with overwhelming emotions, a teen is trying to understand who they are, or someone is adjusting to a difficult life transition, Lindsay meets each client exactly where they are. Her goal is to help clients recognize their strengths, develop healthy coping skills, and discover that they already have the capacity to grow through life's challenges.

With more than five years of experience, Lindsay has supported clients through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, identity development, adoption and foster care experiences, self-esteem concerns, and adjustment to life's changes. She has also worked with children experiencing cognitive delays and families navigating complex emotional needs, always leading with patience, flexibility, and compassion.

Lindsay draws from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, Mindfulness, Art Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and strengths-based interventions.
