• Pre-Interview Screening & Paperwork
Before your interview, you’ll complete questionnaires to help us understand your mental health history and immigration background.
• Clinical Interview (3–5 hours total)
Magaly will meet with you for an in-depth interview, often over one or more sessions, to explore your story, symptoms, and family context.
• Collateral Interviews (if applicable)
If needed, we may interview family members or others involved to gain a fuller understanding of the hardship or trauma you’ve experienced.
• Comprehensive Written Report
You’ll receive a detailed psychological report tailored to your immigration case. Reports are written to meet legal standards and clearly convey emotional and mental health impacts

No. Evaluations are private, and clients must attend alone. Our office does not provide child care, and children may not accompany adults to appointments.
Please set aside 3 to 4 hours for the full process. This includes completing the pre-interview questionnaires and attending the clinical interview.
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required at the time of the initial interview. The remaining balance is due before the final report is released.
No. This is a forensic psychological evaluation, not therapy. It is a one-time service focused solely on legal documentation for immigration purposes.
Reports are sent directly to your attorney unless you request a copy for yourself. All reports are securely delivered via encrypted email.

Magaly Gauntlett
Magaly Gauntlett is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor whose passion is to help clients who are struggling with past traumas, low self-esteem, depression, and anxiety to find a sense of security and regain their self-confidence. She specializes in helping clients learn to refocus their attention on the present by utilizing Mindfulness techniques to reconnect with a feeling of safety and calmness. Her approach to counseling is one of connection with others and with families struggling with difficult issues.
Magaly believes becoming a therapist has helped her to develop active listening skills, empathy, and compassion towards others. She is also passionate about helping couples who struggle in their relationship. She believes that each individual has the right to feel comfortable with their partner to communicate any needs, desires, and struggles without hesitation or fear of being judged.
Magaly has completed Level 1 & 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and uses these interventions in her work with couples.
Magaly is originally from Lima, Peru. She obtained her Master’s in Mental health counseling from Nova University. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness. Magaly presently holds certifications in: Trauma in Young Children, Cognitive, Social and Emotional Development & Recognizing and Responding to Early Childhood Grief.
When she is not at the office, Magaly enjoys spending time with her loved ones, and running with friends, especially during training season.
