Seyna Yeakey, LMHC
Seyna Yeakey is a Licensed Mental Counselor who believes therapy should serve as a safe space where people can feel truly seen, supported and understood as they navigate life’s challenges. She works with teens, individuals, couples, and families facing concerns such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, grief, relationship and family conflict, anger, eating-related concerns, and life transitions.
Seyna approaches therapy with warmth, authenticity and a strong belief in meeting clients exactly where they are. In the therapy room, she walks alongside clients through the healing process using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, and person-centered techniques to help clients build emotional regulation skills, strengthen relationships, and develop healthier ways of coping.
She is passionate about helping individuals and families make sense of difficult experiences and reconnect with their strengths. Drawing from both professional training and her own lived experience in recovery, Seyna brings deep empathy, honesty, and understanding into the therapy room, building connection and hope throughout the therapeutic process.
Outside of work, Seyna enjoys spending time with her family, visiting the dog park with her rescue, exploring the Everglades, and writing poetry and short stories
