Yasmine Mohamed
Yasmine is a dedicated Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern specializing in supporting teens navigating trauma-related challenges, including experiences with sexual assault, foster care, and generational trauma. With extensive experience working with middle and high school students, she addresses various concerns such as depression, anxiety, social conflicts, skill building, and identity development. Yasmine also has a background in working with multiple diagnoses, including autism (level 1), bipolar disorder, grief, and adjustment disorders.
Yasmine’s therapeutic approach is integrative and client-focused, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients reframe negative thoughts, Solution-Focused Therapy for goal setting, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with mindfulness practices to cultivate self-acceptance and reduce anxiety. Currently advancing her skills in Trauma-Focused CBT, Yasmine continually deepens her capacity to support clients on their journey toward healing.
Yasmine is known for her warm, accepting approach, building strong rapport and encouraging her clients to embrace their unique paths. She fosters a compassionate yet accountable environment, helping individuals connect with their core values and shift thought patterns to bring fulfillment across various areas of life. Inspired by her personal journey, Yasmine chose a career in therapy to empower others to overcome life’s challenges, discover new perspectives, and choose hope.
One of Yasmine’s favorite affirmations is, “Against all odds, you still found a way.” This belief guides her work, reinforcing that circumstances don’t define who we are but rather equip us with resilience and the skills to grow into our best selves.
Outside the office, Yasmine enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and being with family and friends. To recharge, she loves relaxing baths with soothing music and sunny days on the grass, savoring nature’s simple beauty.
