6 Solid Strategies for a Deeper Connection with Your Spouse

Every marriage has its rough spots. No relationship is perfect. People often put pressure on each other to live up to ideal standards of what a partner should be. But sometimes, life just gets in the way. It doesn’t mean that your spouse does not love you anymore. It just means that you will have to put in a little more effort if you want to feel the spark again.

Luckily, there are plenty of ways that you and your spouse can work to get those butterflies back. Here are a few fun suggestions to help your marriage reach new heights.

1. Weekly Rituals

Maybe you both talk about how much you would love to schedule a regular date night, but you always put it on the back burner. Or maybe you wish you could have morning coffee with your spouse each day. No matter which ritual is on your mind, sticking to a new routine can help you and your spouse spend a lot more time together. Make a plan and stick to it!

2. Turn Off Your Phones

Too many couples are glued to their phones at dinnertime. Some even stay up late scrolling on social media while in bed with each other. This is not helping your relationship grow. Sometimes, doing something to get out of your comfort zone together is the best way to feel closer to your spouse. 5. Surprise Each Other

Could you pick up your spouse’s coffee order and surprise them at work? What about bringing them home a bouquet of flowers, just because? You could even leave your spouse love notes to brighten their day. Surprises could be just what you need to bring that spark back to life. When you’re having a bad day, there is nothing better than coming home to a pleasant surprise from your spouse. It can turn your whole day around in a minute.

6. Shared Goals
